Hueppi/Weiss Runner-Up at 2021 Norway Open Mixed Doubles

Lea Hueppi/Jonas Weiss (Kusnacht, SUI) lost 8-2 to Maia Ramsfjell/Magnus Ramsfjell (Trondheim, NOR) in the Final of the Norway Open Mixed Doubles, held October 22 - 24, 2021 in Hedmarken, Norway. To advance to the championship game, Hueppi/Weiss won 5-3 over Martine Ronning/Mathias Braenden (Lillehammer, NOR) in the semifinals of the 2021 Norway Open Mixed Doubles in Hedmarken, Norway; and won 7-2 over Vicki Berlin/Jakob Hjort (Hvidovre, DEN) in the quarterfinals. of the 2021 Norway Open Mixed Doubles in Hedmarken, Norway;

Hueppi/Weiss finished 2-2 in the 14-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hueppi/Weiss lost 11-8 to Henriette Lokken Helgevold/Gaute Nepstad (Hedmarken, NOR), then responded with a 10-3 win over Tone Adolfsen Aspeli/Marius Adolfsen Aspeli (Hedmarken, NOR). Hueppi/Weiss won 14-1 against Katrine Wolla/Kjell Bjoerseth (Hedmarken, NOR). Hueppi/Weiss went on to lose 9-7 against Ronning/Braenden in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Norway Open Mixed Doubles, Hueppi/Weiss take home 9.482 world rankings points along with the $438CDN prize, remaining in 778th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 7.41 after improving upon their best so far this season.
