Jean-Michel Menard (Levis, QC) lost 6-5 to Ted Butler (Buckingham, QC) in the Final of the Capital Curling Fall Open, held September 23 - 26, 2021 at the RCMP Curling Club in Ottawa, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Menard won 6-3 over Roger Bertrand (Buckingham, QC) in the semifinals of the 2021 Capital Curling Fall Open in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada; and won 7-6 over Matt Dupuis (Cornwall, ON) in the quarterfinals. of the 2021 Capital Curling Fall Open in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada;

Menard finished 2-1 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Menard defeated Abby Deschene (Sudbury, NONT) 8-3, then went on to lose 12-4 against David Staples (Kingston, ON). Menard responded with a 9-3 win over Lauren Horton (Dollard des Ormeaux, QC) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Capital Curling Fall Open, Menard take home 0.000 world rankings points along with the $1,200CDN prize. For week of the event schedule, Menard did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Menard ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
