Jean-Michel Menard (Levis, QC) lost 6-5 to Ted Butler (Buckingham, QC) in the Final of the Capital Curling Fall Open, held September 23 - 26, 2021 at the RCMP Curling Club in Ottawa, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Menard won 6-3 over Roger Bertrand (Buckingham, QC) in the semifinals of the 2021 Capital Curling Fall Open in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada; and won 7-6 over Matt Dupuis (Cornwall, ON) in the quarterfinals. of the 2021 Capital Curling Fall Open in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada;

Menard finished 2-1 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Menard defeated Abby Deschene (Sudbury, NONT) 8-3, then went on to lose 12-4 against David Staples (Kingston, ON). Menard responded with a 9-3 win over Lauren Horton (Dollard des Ormeaux, QC) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Capital Curling Fall Open, Menard take home 0.000 world rankings points along with the $1,200CDN prize.
