Scott Dunnam (Philadelphia, PA) lost 10-3 to Greg Persinger (Fairbanks, AK) in the Final of the USA Olympic Trials Mayfield Qualifier, held September 30 - October 3, 2021 in Cleveland, Ohio. To advance to the championship game, Dunnam won 11-4 over Luc Violette (Chaska, MN) in the semifinals of the 2021 USA Olympic Trials Mayfield Qualifier in Cleveland, Ohio;

Dunnam finished 3-0 in the 11-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Dunnam defeated Daniel Casper (Chaska, MN) 9-4, then won 10-7 against Todd Birr (Blaine, MN) and 7-3 against Persinger in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the USA Olympic Trials Mayfield Qualifier, Dunnam take home 13.163 world rankings points. For week 10 of the event schedule, Dunnam did not improve upon their best events, remaining at 31st place on the World Ranking Standings with 78.075 total points. Dunnam ranks 13th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 36.550 points earned so far this season.
