Ryan won 6-5 against Dean Grindheim (North Battleford, SK), then won 9-5 against Peter Van Strien (Iqaluit, NU). Ryan went on to lose 4-3 against Craig Burgess (Truro, NS). Ryan lost 6-4 to Craig MacAlpine (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
