Koe won 8-3 against Alex Forrest (Winnipeg, MB), then won 6-3 against Craig MacAlpine (Edmonton, AB). Koe went on to lose 4-3 against Trevor Bonot (Thunder Bay, NO). Koe responded with a 7-5 win over Dean Grindheim (North Battleford, SK). Koe won 7-0 against Mike McLean (Ottawa, ON), then won 5-3 against Grattan and 6-3 against Sebastien Robillard (Kamloops, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
