Changmin Kim (Uiseong, KOR) won 9-5 over Yusuke Morozumi (Karuizawa, JPN) in the Final of the Pacific-Asia Curling Championships, held November 7 - 13, 2021 in Almaty, Kazakhstan. To advance to the championship game, Kim won 7-4 over Viktor Kim (Almaty, KAZ) in the semifinals of the 2022 Pacific-Asia Curling Championships in Almaty, Kazakhstan;
 
Kim finished 5-1 in the 7-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kim defeated Alastair Fyfe (Riyadh, KSA) 9-3, then went on to lose 8-2 against Morozumi. Kim responded with a 14-1 win over Nassar Alyafei (Doha, QAT). Kim won 11-5 against Hong Kong's Jason Chang, then won 9-1 against Kim and 9-8 against Ting-Li Lin (Taiwan, TPE) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Pacific-Asia Curling Championships Championship title, Kim earned 12.825 world rankings points. Kim move up 2 spots after posting a net gain of 3.544 points improving upon their best 3 results so far this season, ranking 35th overall with 92.468 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Kim ranks 39th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 46.030 points earned so far this season.
