Whyte won 8-2 against David Sik (Prague, CZE), then won 5-4 against Magnus Ramsfjell (Trondheim, NOR) in their final qualifying round match.

Whyte earned 15.910 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Aberdeen International Curling Championship, moving up 3 spots the World Ranking Standings into 10th place overall with 201.197 total points.
