Genner won 9-4 against James Pougher (Deeside, WAL), then won 7-3 against Slovenia's Jure Culic and 5-2 against Slovakia's Pavol Pitonak. Genner went on to lose 10-2 against Ugurcan Karagoz (Erzurum, TUR). Genner responded with a 8-3 win over Reto Seiler (Sofia, BUL) in their final qualifying round match.
Genner earned 10.688 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Le Gruyere AOP European B Curling Championships, moving up 55 spots the World Ranking Standings into 153rd place overall with 20.350 total points. Genner ranks 113th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 18.298 points earned so far this season.
