Mathias Genner (Kitzbuehel, AUT) qualified for the 2022 Le Gruyere AOP European B Curling Championships playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 8-4 against Martins Truksans (Riga, LAT). of the 2022 Le Gruyere AOP European B Curling Championships in Lillehammer, Norway;

Genner won 9-4 against James Pougher (Deeside, WAL), then won 7-3 against Slovenia's Jure Culic and 5-2 against Slovakia's Pavol Pitonak. Genner went on to lose 10-2 against Ugurcan Karagoz (Erzurum, TUR). Genner responded with a 8-3 win over Reto Seiler (Sofia, BUL) in their final qualifying round match.
