Mathias Genner (Kitzbuehel, AUT) qualified for the 2022 Le Gruyere AOP European B Curling Championships playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 8-4 against Martins Truksans (Riga, LAT). of the 2022 Le Gruyere AOP European B Curling Championships in Lillehammer, Norway;

Genner finished 5-2 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Genner lost 9-8 to Andrew Woolston (Kent, ENG), then responded with a 4-3 win over Eddy Mercier (Lyon, FRA). Genner won 9-4 against James Pougher (Deeside, WAL), then won 7-3 against Slovenia's Jure Culic and 5-2 against Slovakia's Pavol Pitonak. Genner went on to lose 10-2 against Ugurcan Karagoz (Erzurum, TUR). Genner responded with a 8-3 win over Reto Seiler (Sofia, BUL) in their final qualifying round match.

Genner earned 10.688 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Le Gruyere AOP European B Curling Championships, moving up 55 spots the World Ranking Standings into 153rd place overall with 20.350 total points. Genner ranks 113th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 18.298 points earned so far this season.
