Mercier won 8-1 against Slovenia's Jure Culic in their final qualifying round match.
 
Mercier earned 4.008 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 39 spots the World Ranking Standings into 224th place overall with 8.378 total points. Mercier ranks 192nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 5.706 points earned so far this season.
