Kana Ogawa (Sapporo, JPN) finished 3-5 in the 9-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Ogawa lost 9-3 to Asuka Kanai (Karuizawa, JPN), droppimg another game, 9-3 to Ikue Kitazawa (Nagano, JPN). Ogawa lost 8-6 to Satsuki Fujisawa (Kitami, JPN). Ogawa lost 7-4 to Japan's Miori Nakamura where Ogawa responded with a 15-1 win over Yuki Shibuto (Hiroshima, JPN). Ogawa won 8-5 against Yuna Kotani (Fujiyoshida, JPN). Ogawa went on to lose 9-2 against Momoha Tabata (Sapporo, JPN). Ogawa responded with a 7-6 win over Sayaka Yoshimura (Sapporo, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.

Ogawa earned 5.566 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 44 of the event schedule, Ogawa did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Ogawa ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
