To advance to the championship game, Japan's Juon Ishimura won 13-3 over Japan's Minori Suzuki in the semifinals of the 2022 Tohuku Curling Championships in Tohoku, Japan;

In their opening game, Japan's Juon Ishimura defeated Japan's Toshiaki Takahashi 13-1, then won 9-1 against Japan's Yuuji Nakata and 12-3 against Japan's Yasuhiro Sano. Japan's Juon Ishimura went on to lose 5-3 against Japan's Tsuyoshi Sukekawa in their final qualifying round match.
