Scott Mitchell (Whitby, ON) run at the 2022 Canadian Junior World Qualifier came to an end in the semifinals with a 5-4 loss to Nathan Young (St. John's, NL). of the 2022 Canadian Junior World Qualifier in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; of the 2022 Canadian Junior World Qualifier in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan;

Mitchell finished 4-1 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Mitchell defeated Jordon McDonald (Winnipeg, MB) 6-3, then won 14-5 against Josh Nowlan (Moncton, NB) and 7-4 against Dallas Burgess (Kakabeka Falls, NONT). Mitchell won 11-6 against Johnson Tao (Edmonton, AB). Mitchell went on to lose 7-6 against Chase MacMillan (Cornwall, PEI) in their final qualifying round match.

Mitchell earned 14.131 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Canadian Junior World Qualifier, moving up 33 spots the World Ranking Standings into 99th place overall with 40.221 total points. Mitchell ranks 62nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 35.002 points earned so far this season.
