Chase MacMillan (Cornwall, PEI) finished 2-3 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, MacMillan lost 7-3 to Josh Nowlan (Moncton, NB), droppimg another game, 8-2 to Johnson Tao (Edmonton, AB). MacMillan lost 12-2 to Jordon McDonald (Winnipeg, MB) where MacMillan responded with a 9-8 win over Dallas Burgess (Kakabeka Falls, NONT). MacMillan won 7-6 against Scott Mitchell (Whitby, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

MacMillan earned 2.494 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 89 spots the World Ranking Standings into 294th place overall with 3.323 total points. MacMillan ranks 230th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 2.494 points earned so far this season.
