James Ballance (Okotoks, AB) lost 9-3 to Justin Runciman (Edmonton, AB) in the Final of the Okotoks U20 Bonspiel, held November 26 - 28, 2021 in Okotoks, Alberta. To advance to the championship game, Ballance won 5-4 over Kenan Wipf (Calgary, AB) in the semifinals

Ballance finished 3-0 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Ballance defeated Blake Petkau (Calgary, AB) 9-2, then won 8-3 against Runciman and 8-4 against Ben Kiist (Calgary, AB) in their final qualifying round match.

Ballance ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
