Neufeld lost 8-6 to Darrell McKee (Saskatoon, SK) where Neufeld responded with a 7-4 win over Terry Miller (Whitehorse, YK). Neufeld won 8-7 against Phil Gorveatt (Montague, PEI), then won 7-1 against Peter Mackey (Iqaluit, NU) in their final qualifying round match.
