In their opening game, Patry defeated Cedric Maurice (Laval-sur-la-Lac, QC) 9-2, then won 6-5 against Gregory Bornais (Quebec, QC). Patry went on to lose 7-5 against Alexandre Leduc (Valleyfield, QC). Patry responded with a 5-4 win over Pierre Deschenes (Sept-Iles, QC) in their final qualifying round match.
