To advance to the championship game, Hoesli won 9-1 over Sixten Totzek (Munich, GER) in the semifinals of the 2022 St. Galler Elite Challenge in St. Gallen, Switzerland; and won 9-6 over Kim Schwaller (Bern, SUI) in the quarterfinals. of the 2022 St. Galler Elite Challenge in St. Gallen, Switzerland;
 
Hoesli finished 3-1 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hoesli lost 6-5 to Schwaller, then responded with a 9-1 win over Kristof Czermann (Budapest, HUN). Hoesli won 6-2 against Totzek, then won 8-4 against Benny Kapp (Fuessen, GER) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the St. Galler Elite Challenge Championship title, Hoesli earned 26.706 world rankings points along with the $2,761CDN first prize cheque. Hoesli move up 7 spots after posting a net gain of 14.372 points improving upon their best 5 results so far this season, ranking 25th overall with 125.911 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Hoesli ranks 17th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 117.092 points earned so far this season.
