Jacobs won 8-3 against Chris Glibota (Sault Ste Marie, NONT). Jacobs went on to lose 9-5 against Sandy MacEwan (Sudbury, NONT) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Northern Ontario Men's Provincials Championship title, Jacobs earned 8.213 world rankings points, remaining in 3rd place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 371.776 total points. Jacobs ranks 4th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 250.835 points earned so far this season.
