8-6 to Matt Dunstone (Winnipeg, MB), droppimg another game, 8-4 to Brad Gushue (St. John's, NL) where Whyte responded with a 8-1 win over Tanner Horgan (Sudbury, NONT). Whyte went on to lose 7-4 against John Epping (Toronto, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Whyte earned 3.375 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 12 of the event schedule, Whyte did not improve upon their best events, dropping from 11th to 12th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 179.200 total points. Whyte ranks 23rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 52.500 points earned so far this season.
