Hunkin finished 3-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hunkin lost 6-5 to Madeleine Dupont (Hvidovre, DEN), then responded with a 6-3 win over Selena Sturmay (Edmonton, AB). Hunkin won 5-2 against Kayla Skrlik (Calgary, AB), then won 7-6 against Andrea Kelly (Fredericton, NB) in their final qualifying round match.
