Brendan Bottcher (Calgary, AB) won 5-3 over Niklas Edin (Karlstad, SWE) in the Final of the Co-op Canadian Open, held January 10 - 15, 2023 in Camrose, Alberta. To advance to the championship game, Bottcher won 3-2 over Joel Retornaz (Trentino, ITA) in the semifinals of the 2023 Co-op Canadian Open in Camrose, Alberta; and won 5-0 over Yannick Schwaller (Geneva, SUI) in the quarterfinals. of the 2023 Co-op Canadian Open in Camrose, Alberta;
 
Bottcher finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Bottcher defeated Reid Carruthers (Winnipeg, MB) 9-3, then won 7-2 against John Epping (Toronto, ON) and 4-2 against Korey Dropkin (Duluth, MN) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Co-op Canadian Open Championship title, Bottcher earned 75.000 world rankings points along with the $35,000CDN first prize cheque. Bottcher move up 2 spots after posting a net gain of 64.5 points improving upon their best 6 results so far this season, ranking 4th overall with 349.544 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Bottcher ranks 3rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 251.000 points earned so far this season.
