Bottcher finished 5-0 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Bottcher defeated Kelly Knapp (Regina, SK) 7-2, then won 8-4 against Korey Dropkin (Duluth, MN) and 7-4 against Edin. Bottcher won 5-4 against Bruce Mouat (Stirling, SCO), then won 5-4 against John Shuster (Duluth, MN) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the KIOTI Tractor Champions Cup Championship title, Bottcher earned 67.500 world rankings points along with the $30,000CDN first prize cheque.
