Tanaka responded with a 7-4 win over Rob Nobert (VERNON, BC). Tanaka won 9-7 against Jason Montgomery (Victoria, BC) in their final qualifying round match.

Tanaka earned 8.500 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Kamloops Crown of Curling.
