Abe finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Abe defeated Chris Medford (Kimberley, BC) 6-3, then won 8-3 against Matthew McCrady (New Westminster , BC) and 7-6 against Cseke in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Driving Force Decks Int'l Abbotsford Cashspiel Championship title, Abe earned 18.750 world rankings points along with the $5,800CDN first prize cheque, moving up 20 spots the World Ranking Standings into 51st place overall with 63.398 total points.
