Brent Pierce (Kelowna, BC) lost 7-6 to Shinya Abe (Sapporo, JPN) in the Final of the Driving Force Decks Int'l Abbotsford Cashspiel, held October 14 - 16, 2022 at the Abbotsford Curling Club in Abbotsford, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Pierce won 6-2 over Cody Tanaka (New Westminster, BC) in the semifinals of the 2022 Driving Force Decks Int'l Abbotsford Cashspiel in Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada; and won 8-3 over Jacques Gauthier (Victoria, BC) in the quarterfinals.
 
Pierce finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Pierce defeated Bob Leclair (Scottsdale, AZ) 13-6, then won 7-4 against Sean Geall (New Westminster, BC) and 6-3 against Sebastien Robillard (Port Coquitlam, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Driving Force Decks Int'l Abbotsford Cashspiel, Pierce take home 13.750 world rankings points along with the $3,800CDN prize. For week 11 of the event schedule, Pierce did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Pierce ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
