Hartwell finished 4-0 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hartwell defeated Beth Farmer (Stirling, SCO) 6-5, then won 6-5 against Serena Gray-Withers (Edmonton, AB) and 4-2 against Sherrilee Orsted (Regina, SK). Hartwell won 9-1 against Claire Booth (Sherwood Park, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Hartwell earned 12.750 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Ladies Alberta Open.
