Clancy Grandy (Vancouver, BC) qualified for the 2022 RBC Dominion Securities Western Showdown playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 5-2 against Beth Peterson (Winnipeg, MB).

Grandy finished 4-0 in the 28-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Grandy defeated Honoka Sasaki (Kitami, JPN) 5-2, then won 9-3 against Stephanie Thompson (Regina, SK) and 7-6 against Meghan Walter (Winnipeg, MB) to advance to the A-Qualifier where they 5-4 against Raphaela Keiser (St. Moritz, SUI) to advance to the playoff round. in their final qualifying round match.

Grandy earned 21.000 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the RBC Dominion Securities Western Showdown. Grandy move up 4 spots after posting a net gain of 15.937 points improving upon their best 3 results so far this season, ranking 16th overall with 121.016 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
