Muirhead finished 9-0 in the 18-team qualifying round. . Muirhead won 8-4 against Jocelyn Peterman (Winnipeg, CAN), then won 8-4 against Schoell and 7-2 against Becca Hamilton (Madison, USA). Muirhead won 10-4 against Ildiko Szekeres (Budapest, HUN), then won 10-2 against Dilsat Yildiz (Erzurum, TUR) and 10-3 against Oihane Unanue (San-Sebastian, ESP) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship Championship title, Muirhead earned 96.688 world rankings points, remaining in 778th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 143.404 total points. Muirhead ranks 6th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 143.404 points earned so far this season.
