To advance to the championship game, Mattson/Dorey won 8-0 over Wendy Frazier/Fran Purvis (Calgary, AB) in the semifinals of the 2022 Canadian Stick Curling Championship - Women in Moncton, New Brunswick;
 
Mattson/Dorey finished 4-3 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Mattson/Dorey lost 7-1 to Hughes/Reid, droppimg another game, 7-5 to Audrey Callaghan/Ruth Stavert (Cornwall, PEI). Mattson/Dorey lost 7-6 to Frazier/Purvis where Mattson/Dorey responded with a 7-6 win over Margaret Campbell/Tammy Hughes (Kelowna, BC). Mattson/Dorey won 6-3 against Sharon Sears/Carol Heinrichs (Armstrong, BC), then won 7-6 against Gwen Smith/Lynne Rehbein (Winnipeg, MB) and 4-2 against Brenda Eger/Barb Palmer (St. Albert, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
