Ethan Sampson (Fargo, ND) won 9-8 over Connor Kauffman (Blaine, MN) in the Final of the USA Curling Junior Mens National Championship, held April 23 - 30, 2022 in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. To advance to the championship game, Sampson won 5-4 over Wesley Wendling (Wausau, WI) in the semifinals of the 2022 USA Curling Junior Mens National Championship in Stevens Point, Wisconsin;

Sampson finished 5-1 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Sampson lost 7-6 to Kauffman, then responded with a 10-3 win over Bowen Zheng (Seattle, WA). Sampson won 11-4 against Nicholas Cenzalli (Wayland, MA), then won 13-0 against Jimmy Evans (Fairbanks, AK) and 14-5 against Zachary Brenden (Bismarck, ND). Sampson won 9-4 against Jaime Vidaurrazaga (Wayland, MA) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the USA Curling Junior Mens National Championship Championship title, Sampson earned 14.963 world rankings points, moving up 397 spots the World Ranking Standings into 151st place overall with 14.963 total points. Sampson ranks 151st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 14.963 points earned so far this season.
