To advance to the championship game, Shuster won 6-0 over Jed Brundidge (St. Paul, MN) in the semifinals of the 2022 Curling Stadium Contender Series in Blaine, Minnesota, United States; and won 8-2 over Mike Siggins (Tempe, AZ) in the quarterfinals. of the 2022 Curling Stadium Contender Series in Blaine, Minnesota, United States;
Shuster finished 3-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Shuster defeated Siggins 8-1, then went on to lose 6-5 against Ethan Sampson (Chaska, MN). Shuster responded with a 6-5 win over Mason Guentzel (St. Paul, MN). Shuster won 10-2 against Jason Smith (Nashville, TN) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Curling Stadium Contender Series Championship title, Shuster earned 15.000 world rankings points along with the $2,658CDN first prize cheque. Shuster move up 2 spots after posting a net gain of 13.125 points improving upon their best 4 results so far this season, ranking 19th overall with 148.143 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
