Wesley Wendling (Stevens Point, WI) finished 2-2 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Wendling lost 6-5 to Jason Smith (Nashville, TN), then responded with a 5-2 win over Mason Guentzel (St. Paul, MN). Wendling went on to lose 5-3 against Mike Siggins (Tempe, AZ). Wendling responded with a 9-7 win over Ethan Sampson (Chaska, MN) in their final qualifying round match.
