Sturmay finished 3-0 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Sturmay defeated Krysta Hilker (Edmonton, AB) 6-4, then won 12-2 against Claire Booth (Sherwood Park, AB) and 4-1 against Corryn Brown (Kamloops, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Curling Stadium Alberta Curling Series #1, Sturmay take home 19.250 world rankings points along with the $1,300CDN prize, moving up 6 spots the World Ranking Standings into 19th place overall with 104.682 total points. Sturmay ranks 8th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 19.250 points earned so far this season.
