Schwaller finished 4-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Schwaller defeated Cole Adams (Calgary, AB) 8-2, then went on to lose 4-2 against Sluchinski. Schwaller responded with a 6-0 win over Mike McEwen (Toronto, ON). Schwaller won 7-2 against Karsten Sturmay (Edmonton, AB), then won 7-4 against Tanner Horgan (Sudbury, NONT) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Curling Stadium Alberta Curling Series Major Championship title, Schwaller earned 48.750 world rankings points along with the $8,500CDN first prize cheque.
