Sturmay/Kleibrink finished 3-0 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Sturmay/Kleibrink defeated Molly Hackett/Alec Hackett (Ogden, UT) 6-2, then won 9-2 against Sophie Brissette/Kris Gira (Calgary, AB) and 9-3 against Cheryl Damen/Tyler van Amsterdam (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
