Bruce Mouat (Stirling, SCO) won 5-4 over Yannick Schwaller (Geneva, SUI) in the Final of the Le Gruyere AOP European Curling Championships, held November 19 - 26, 2022 in Ostersund, Sweden. To advance to the championship game, Mouat won 7-4 over Joel Retornaz (Trento, ITA) in the semifinals of the 2023 Le Gruyere AOP European Curling Championships in Ostersund, Sweden;
 
Mouat finished 8-1 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Mouat defeated Sixten Totzek (Fuessen, GER) 6-4, then won 10-4 against Sergio Vez (San Sebastian, ESP) and 8-7 against Oskar Eriksson (Karlstad, SWE). Mouat won 11-6 against Lukas Klima (Prague, CZE), then won 10-4 against Ugurcan Karagoz (Erzurum, TUR) and 7-4 against Mikkel Krause (Hvidovre, DEN). Mouat won 8-1 against Steffen Walstad (Oslo, NOR). Mouat went on to lose 7-2 against Schwaller. Mouat responded with a 7-5 win over Retornaz in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Le Gruyere AOP European Curling Championships Championship title, Mouat earned 60.000 world rankings points. Mouat move up 2 spots after posting a net gain of 57.375 points improving upon their best 4 results so far this season, ranking 3rd overall with 363.770 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Mouat ranks 12th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 116.250 points earned so far this season.
