Sergio Vez (San Sebastian, ESP) 6-5, then won 7-5 against Lukas Klima (Prague, CZE). Karagoz went on to lose 11-3 against Yannick Schwaller (Geneva, SUI). Karagoz lost 9-4 to Joel Retornaz (Trento, ITA). Karagoz lost 10-4 to Bruce Mouat (Stirling, SCO) where Karagoz responded with a 11-4 win over Sixten Totzek (Fuessen, GER). Karagoz won 6-1 against Mikkel Krause (Hvidovre, DEN). Karagoz went on to lose 10-2 against Oskar Eriksson (Karlstad, SWE). Karagoz lost 10-6 to Steffen Walstad (Oslo, NOR) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Karagoz earned 12.000 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 17 of the event schedule, Karagoz did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points.
