Pat Ferris (Grimsby, ON) lost 8-4 to Yannick Schwaller (Geneva, SUI) in the Final of the Stroud Sleeman Cash Spiel, held October 14 - 16, 2022 at the Stroud Curling Club in Innisfil, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Ferris won 8-2 over Cory Heggestad (Stroud, ON) in the semifinals of the 2022 Stroud Sleeman Cash Spiel in Innisfil, Ontario, Canada; and won 9-3 over ByeongJin Jeong (Seoul, KOR) in the quarterfinals.
 
Ferris finished 2-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Ferris defeated Schwaller 7-1, then went on to lose 6-2 against Heggestad. Ferris responded with a 9-2 win over Brandon Tippin (Bala, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Stroud Sleeman Cash Spiel, Ferris take home 22.000 world rankings points along with the $2,600CDN prize, moving up 21 spots the World Ranking Standings into 55th place overall with 61.881 total points. Ferris ranks 37th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 32.625 points earned so far this season.
