Daniela Rupp/Kevin Wunderlin (Zug, SUI) finished 2-2 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Rupp/Wunderlin lost 6-3 to Kerri Einarson/Brad Jacobs (Gimli, MB), then responded with a 6-5 win over Jaelyn Cotter/Jim Cotter (Vernon, BC). Rupp/Wunderlin won 8-3 against Patty Hersikorn/Steve Laycock (Saskatoon, SK). Rupp/Wunderlin went on to lose 4-3 against Lisa Weagle/John Epping (Toronto, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

Rupp/Wunderlin earned 5.250 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 16 of the event schedule, Rupp/Wunderlin did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Rupp/Wunderlin ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
