CHAMPION: Immonen Wins 2022 Finnish Mixed Doubles Championship

Lotta Immonen (Espoo, FIN) won 11-4 over Susanna Santti (Tampere, FIN) in the Final Immonen advanced directly to the championship game after finishing first in the preliminary round. of the Finnish Mixed Doubles Championship, held March 24 - 27, 2022 in Joensuu, Finland.

Immonen finished 4-1 in the 6-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Immonen defeated Elina Virtaala (Joensuu, FIN) 11-3, then won 7-5 against Bonnie Nilhamn (Hyvinkaa, FIN). Immonen went on to lose 7-5 against Santti. Immonen responded with a 11-1 win over Miia Ahrenberg (Harjavalta, FIN). Immonen won 6-3 against Mikko Saastamoinen (Joensuu, FIN) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Finnish Mixed Doubles Championship Championship title, Immonen earned 10.688 world rankings points, remaining in 778th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 42.876 total points. Immonen ranks 51st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 42.876 points earned so far this season.
