To advance to the championship game, Jeong won 8-2 over Yeong Seok Jeong (Gangwo, KOR) in the semifinals
 
Jeong finished 3-0 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Jeong defeated Kohsuke Hirata (Kitami, JPN) 4-3, then won 4-2 against Shinya Abe (Sapporo, JPN) and 5-4 against Morozumi in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Hokkaido Bank Curling Classic Championship title, Jeong earned 15.000 world rankings points along with the $9,498CDN first prize cheque. Jeong gained 44.261 points improving upon their best 2 events, though dropped 59 spots on the World Ranking Standings into 59thplace overall with 44.261 total points. Jeong ranks 1st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 30.000 points earned so far this season.
