Yamamoto finished 2-1 in the 7-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Yamamoto defeated Mayu Minami (Sapporo, JPN) 6-2, then won 7-6 against Asuka Kanai (Karuizawa, JPN). Yamamoto went on to lose 7-2 against Yoshimura in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the ARGO GRAPHICS Cup Championship title, Yamamoto earned 15.000 world rankings points along with the $9,137CDN first prize cheque. Yamamoto move up 32 spots after posting a net gain of 14.062 points improving upon their best 2 results so far this season, ranking 67th overall with 30.182 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Yamamoto ranks 22nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 15.938 points earned so far this season.
