Kristaps Zass (Riga, LAT) qualified for the 2022 WCT Latvia International Challenger playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 8-1 against Mathias Genner (Kitzbuehel, AUT). of the 2022 WCT Latvia International Challenger in Tukums, Latvia;

Zass finished 2-2 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Zass defeated Mykhailo Pleskanka (Kyiv, UKR) 9-3, then won 7-6 against Axel Landelius (MjÃ¶lby, SWE). Zass went on to lose 6-4 against Sebastiaan Dalle (Zemst, BEL). Zass lost 9-1 to Martins Truksans (Riga, LAT) in their final qualifying round match.

Zass earned 4.500 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the WCT Latvia International Challenger. For week 12 of the event schedule, Zass did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Zass ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
