Ritvars Gulbis (Riga, LAT) qualified for the 2022 WCT Latvia International Challenger playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 5-2 against Martins Truksans (Riga, LAT). of the 2022 WCT Latvia International Challenger in Tukums, Latvia;
 
Gulbis finished 2-2 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Gulbis lost 7-4 to Timothy Verreycken (Zemst, BEL), droppimg another game, 6-4 to Mathias Genner (Kitzbuehel, AUT) where Gulbis responded with a 10-8 win over Eduard Veltsman (Tallinn, EST). Gulbis won 8-5 against Ansis Regza (Riga, LAT) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Gulbis earned 4.500 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the WCT Latvia International Challenger.
