Ritvars Gulbis (Riga, LAT) qualified for the 2022 WCT Latvia International Challenger playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 5-2 against Martins Truksans (Riga, LAT). of the 2022 WCT Latvia International Challenger in Tukums, Latvia;

Gulbis finished 2-2 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Gulbis lost 7-4 to Timothy Verreycken (Zemst, BEL), droppimg another game, 6-4 to Mathias Genner (Kitzbuehel, AUT) where Gulbis responded with a 10-8 win over Eduard Veltsman (Tallinn, EST). Gulbis won 8-5 against Ansis Regza (Riga, LAT) in their final qualifying round match.

Gulbis earned 4.500 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the WCT Latvia International Challenger. For week 12 of the event schedule, Gulbis did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Gulbis ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
