Cameron Bryce (Stirling, SCO) needed a tiebreaker to advance to the playoffs, Bryce finished 2-3 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Bryce defeated Mathias Genner (Kitzbuehel, AUT) 6-4, then went on to lose 8-1 against Andrin Schnider (Schaffhausen, SUI). Bryce lost 5-4 to Sixten Totzek (Baden Baden, GER) where Bryce responded with a 8-3 win over Genner. Bryce went on to lose 7-5 against Lukas Klima (Prague, CZE) in their final qualifying round match.
