Dominik Maerki (Nashville, TN) needed tiebreakers to advance to the playoffs, Maerki finished 2-3 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Maerki lost 8-6 to Marco Hoesli (Glarus, SUI), droppimg another game, 6-4 to Sixten Totzek (Baden Baden, GER) where Maerki responded with a 7-5 win over Konrad Stych (Warsaw, POL). Maerki won 7-2 against Martins Truksans (Riga, LAT). Maerki went on to lose 7-5 against Michael Brunner (Bern, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.

Maerki earned 7.500 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 13 of the event schedule, Maerki did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Maerki ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
