Sierra Sutherland (Ottawa, ON) finished 2-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Sutherland defeated Jaimee Gardner (Ottawa, ON) 8-4, then won 7-2 against Matt Dupuis (Cornwall, ON). Sutherland went on to lose 8-4 against Ted Butler (Buckingham, QC) in their final qualifying round match.

The berth into the first round of the Capital Curling Rideau Open playoffs earned Sutherland 1.500 world rankings points. For week 16 of the event schedule, Sutherland did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Sutherland ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
