Steffen Walstad (Oslo, NOR) lost 5-2 to Niklas Edin (Karlstad, SWE) in the Final of the Oslo Cup, held September 2 - 4, 2022 in Oslo, Norway. To advance to the championship game, Walstad won 8-4 over James Craik (Stirling, SCO) in the semifinals   of the 2022 Oslo Cup in Oslo, Norway; and won 7-4 over Cameron Bryce (Stirling, SCO) in the quarterfinals.  
 
Walstad finished 4-0 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Walstad defeated Axel Landelius (Mjölby, SWE) 6-5, then won 7-1 against Eirik Oey (Oppdal, NOR) and 7-6 against Kyle Waddell (Glasgow, SCO). Walstad won 6-3 against Axel Rosander (Norrkoping, SWE) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Oslo Cup, Walstad take home 27.500 world rankings points along with the $2,629CDN prize. For week 5 of the event schedule, Walstad did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Walstad ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
