To advance to the championship game, Farrell/Thurston won 7-6 over Sarah Anderson/Andrew Stopera (Minneapolis, MN) in the semifinals of the 2022 Colorado Curling Cup in Lafayette, Colorado, United States; and won 7-5 over Rebecca Hamilton/Matt Hamilton (McFarland, WI) in the quarterfinals. of the 2022 Colorado Curling Cup in Lafayette, Colorado, United States;

Farrell/Thurston finished 3-2 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Farrell/Thurston lost 9-2 to Aileen Geving/John Shuster (Duluth, MN), then responded with a 10-4 win over Joyce McLaren/Kevin Mechenbier (Denver, CO). Farrell/Thurston won 11-0 against Melissa Fountain/Tony Kot (Lafayette , CO). Farrell/Thurston went on to lose 7-3 against Anderson/Stopera. Farrell/Thurston responded with a 10-5 win over McLaren/Mechenbier in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Colorado Curling Cup Championship title, Farrell/Thurston earned 22.500 world rankings points along with the $3,000CDN first prize cheque. For week 11 of the event schedule, Farrell/Thurston did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Farrell/Thurston ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
