Kaitlyn Lawes (Winnipeg, MB) won 5-4 over Christina Black (Halifax, NS) in the Final of the Stu Sells 1824 Halifax Classic, held November 9 - 13, 2022 in Halifax, Nova Scotia. To advance to the championship game, Lawes won 5-4 over Andrea Kelly (Fredericton, NB) in the semifinals of the 2022 Stu Sells 1824 Halifax Classic in Halifax, Nova Scotia; and won 7-4 over Danielle Inglis (Ottawa, ON) in the quarterfinals. of the 2022 Stu Sells 1824 Halifax Classic in Halifax, Nova Scotia;
 
Lawes finished 3-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Lawes defeated Stacie Curtis (St. John's, NL) 6-2, then went on to lose 7-2 against Inglis. Lawes responded with a 6-1 win over Suzanne Birt (Summerside, PEI). Lawes won 8-5 against Sarah Murphy (Halifax, NS) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Stu Sells 1824 Halifax Classic Championship title, Lawes earned 30.000 world rankings points along with the $7,500CDN first prize cheque, remaining in 5th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 3.75 after improving upon their best so far this season. Lawes ranks 6th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 127.000 points earned so far this season.
